Dear families,
It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over. It seems to have flown by so quickly. It is now time to begin thinking about school again. Second grade is a fun grade because your child will learn many interesting things. Your child will learn how to add and subtract two and three digit numbers. They will also learn basic multiplication and division. In science, your child will learn about various life cycles as well as the planets and the moon. In social studies, your child will explore different types of communities along with the oceans and continents.
We hope you are enjoying your summer and we are looking forward to a great year in second grade. We look forward to meeting you at our open house on Wednesday, August 23rd from 4-6pm.
Please remember that our first day of school is Monday, August 28th, and this day is a half day!
